Hours This Week
Our Kanda cafe is as close to train tracks as it can possibly be without gliding into motion. Tucked beneath the original century-old brick archway that supports the Tokyo Metro Ginza line running overhead, Kanda cafe radiates warm invitation, welcoming guests for a single origin drip coffee or espresso before they commute to Tokyo’s downtown. The neighborhood is not new to us; we first made its acquaintance with a pop-up in the summer of 2017. We’ve been dreaming of returning to the landmark location ever since, and Jo Nagasaka of Schemata Design created a matchbook-sized cafe that, despite the rumbling of passing trains, is an intimate place, emanating calm.
